Moving always throws a wrench into things. I have run 3 times since we moved on the 7th of June. I’m going to try switching to evenings and just run a mile every day, maybe a mile and a half if I’m feeling particularly good. I do have another 5K now coming up on Labor Day, so I still feel like I can get back in the habit.

Blood Pressure back to normal!
Today in my checkup my BP measured 120/80 – in other words, completely normal. Not high, not low.
Now that I am healthier, I need to stay healthy. That’s why I have many other goals to keep that up.

A new health goal
With the 5K behind me, and looking for something else to do, I was directed here: http://hundredpushups.com/
Sounds like fun. I’ll start Monday.

I did it!
I ran my very first 5K this morning. I made it! I ran the entire time and kept up a good pace. I finished in just under 40 minutes.
I’m planning on continuing my running and do some more 5Ks over the next year. Maybe a year from now I’ll be running a 10K!

Week 8, Day 2
Good morning from lovely Ironton, Ohio. I intended to run about 2.8 miles this morning, but at about the 2.5 mile point, I completely crapped out and walked the rest of the way.
Monday is the 5K. I’m betting on adrenaline and good scenery to help me make it to the finish. (I know I will make it, but I want to run the whole way.)

Week 8, Day 1
This week was weird. I was packing the house all day Sunday and Monday and didn’t run. Then my alarm didn’t go off Tuesday morning and I didn’t run. So, I decided to run tonight.
Running at night is different from running in the morning. (obviously) But I actually ended up only running about 2 miles. I took a different course and most of it ended up being uphill the whole time. I think in Antioch you really can go uphill both ways.
Anyway, I’m going to try to run Friday morning, then Saturday night. Sunday I rest and Monday is the 5K!

Week 7, Day 3
Good morning from beautiful Toledo, Ohio. It’s a lot flatter here. I felt like I did not do much work at all to run this morning, and also increased my pace a little bit to about 11.5 minutes to a mile.
Next week I run two days in Nashville and then one day in Ironton. The week after that is the 5K in Ironton!
